It is common for partners to stay in a relationship even after things turn toxic. One area where this is particularly true is when people decide to stay in a relationship despite it being verbally abusive. Two articles highlight these challenges particularly well; The first written by Peg Streep is a fascinating piece on abusive relationships, while the second by Chareessa Chee, Licensed Professional Counselor, explores why people choose to stay in a relationship despite the abuse.

We hope you find these articles beneficial and as always, if you have any concerns or mental health challenges, please reach out to us here at NTC for a free consultation.
