Telehealth: Greater Accessibility for Mental Health Care

COVID-19 resulted in a significant move to telehealth to continue access for individuals needing counseling. Research on this approach's viability has resulted in several promising results, including work done by Dr. Yusen Zhai at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Chelsea Eytel's article on his work showed a very positive response to this approach, which included protecting clients from interruptions to their counseling and therapy and significantly increased accessibility to clients who would not normally be able to access such services.
