Founder & Chartered Psychologist
Richard Tighe is a UK-Chartered Psychologist and clinical board member of the International Mental Health Practitioners of Japan. With nearly two decades of experience in education, counseling, and psychotherapy, he works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a wide range of concerns. His academic journey spans Ireland, the UK, and the US, with doctoral research focused on cross-cultural communication and anxiety-related conditions in Japan. Richard has also completed advanced psychoanalytic training at the William Alanson White Institute in New York and is a candidate psychoanalyst with the Contemporary Freudian Society in Washington, D.C. His integrative approach draws on CBT, DBT, ACT, and psychodynamic theory, always tailoring therapy to the unique needs and values of each individual. At the heart of his work is the belief that therapy is a process of self-discovery—helping clients build resilience and live with greater clarity and meaning.
